Youth Artist

Katherine was born in Hunan Province, China, in 1997 and came to Chicago when she was adopted just after her first birthday.  She began drawing every day at age four and started formal art instruction at six. 

Her work has won first or second place in her grade at the Glenview Art League Youth Art Fair for four consecutive years.  She began studying Chinese Brush Painting with Evanston artist Mina Hsing in 2007.
